Stream of Consciousness Blogging: Nasty Ass Carpet Water, and My Husband Got Propositioned by Sex Workers

It's been quite a while since I graced you all with my stream of consciousness!  I find that I write these posts much better when fueled by coffee or inspired by wine, though neither of the two are helping me out tonight.

I've been out of school for just one week now but it seems like a lot longer than that.  I've already had time to get things done around the house like cleaning the carpets (too bad I don't have before and after photos for you and pictures of the dirty nasty ass water that I dumped out of the cleaner, right?) sprucing up the patio a bit.

We also entertained on the 4th of July. Three of my ladies came over for dinner and we had chicken and pineapple skewers, watermelon, arugula, and feta salad, and Oreo pie for dessert.  The cocktail of the day was a tasty raspberry beer lemonade.  Mmmmm, good!  Of course, I have no photos of the food or the beverage.  It was all very pretty, as were my ladies.  We watched fireworks here in our neighborhood (the city fireworks are close by and we have a great view of them), and by the time they all left I know they were full and happy and relieved to not have a screaming eight year old boy around them anymore.  Diego isn't anything if he isn't loud.  I enjoyed listening to Giancarlo entertain my ladies with his stories, two of them which involved being propositioned by sex workers on two separate occasions.  But that's a whole 'nother post!  I wonder if he will let me tell you those stories.  And how come I never get propositioned by sex workers?

Another upcoming post is one in which we went to The Huntington Library and Gardens and I practiced using our big girl camera in preparation for our vacation in a couple of weeks.  I got some beautiful shots, but of course, at the Huntington, it is hard to go wrong with photography.

Stay tuned on The Jason Show:  A Visit to Hurricane Harbor, This Old Classroom, and A Very Italian Jason Show.

Your fourth of July food sounds incredible...I am embarrassed to say we just had hamburgers and hot dogs and potato salad... Someday I will be as cool as you. I just know it. Or hope it rather! ; )

I am glad school is over for you. Our carpets need cleaned so badly. I hate the after water. Gross me out and call me Lucy that stuff is so gross.

You got a big girl camera???? I am so excited. Tell me every detail! I hope your vacation is awesome. Maybe you will get propositioned by some sex workers while on it. I will cross my fingers for you!

I love Hungtington Library. I would love to go there with a book and just sit under a tree for an afternoon.

Practice using a camera before a vacation. What a novel concept. And oh so smart. Me? I'm right there in the midst of a beautiful photo moment and oops, no idea how to use any of the confusing buttons.

Your ladies had a blast! :) You got a big girl camera? That's so exciting. I can't wait to hear all about what you got. If you need me to go to Italy with you and help you use it, I will!
Those GC stories were fabulous. FABULOUS!

I am willing to become a sex worker just to proposition you. As long as you promise not to take me up on it.

Nasty Ass Water... sounds like a cologne!

Sounds like your summer is off to a good start! Totally want to hear GC's sex worker stories and I also wish you a great time on your upcoming vacation - teachers need that downtime more than others sometimes!

Hum, for some reason, I feel like I just participated in a commercial for upcoming events.
Guess I'll have to stay tune to read the rest of the story ;o)

Use your little girl camera to take a photo of your big girl camera. I want to see it!

Oh, and I VERY MUCH want to read about the sex worker incidents . . . both of them!
