Onlookers and walkers alike cried and hugged and cheered and laughed, all at once. Cheri snapped this picture just as we crossed the "finish" line; a moment I will always remember.
Just look at me and my team! Especially Jacque, in the front. You can't get any cheerier than that.
However, not everyone was as thrilled as we were.
Even after the whole emotional and physical experience that is the 3-Day For a Cure, it seems that the lady behind me was still feeling really, well, really pissed off about breast cancer.
Or maybe she was stalking me. Following me the whole time, lurking in the background behind bushes and porta potties, waiting for her chance to....to....what? And just as she was about to close in on me...someone decided they would take a picture, foiling her in her tracks.
Well, she lost her chance. She'll have to find me again next year. Or maybe it's Cheri that she's mad at. After all, she's staring right at her here.
