Aww. Hugs to Diego! ...but how exciting for her! I did a double take on the last picture, in the small version her roommate looked very much like my Starr!
Awww.... the mommy in me is tearing up, Jason. I know you are probably flooded with emotions this weekend: so proud of her, excited for her, a little nervous, and of course, sad that your "baby" is all grown up now. Parenthood is a beautiful thing, but boy it cuts deep sometimes too....
(And poor Diego! My goodness... he is just CRUSHED in that photo!)
Well, I know your beautiful girl is going to have a WONDERFUL time in school... learn a lot, experience LIFE, and all that Good Stuff that college is all about! Way to go!!
1) I am tearing. B) Loved the wordless post. The pictures really say it all. 3) Julie lived there. 4) OMG. Dorms. Mine looked exactly the same. 5) Are you okay?
She looks so happy!! This is in my future (next year with Ellie) and she'll either be a couple of hours away in Austin or all the way in Rochester - gulp - and THAT kills me. Oh - and you looked adorably miserable in your trip to the beach :). We were a tad warmer - the water was somewhere between warm bath and hot tub temp.
It is hard to believe that she is really old enough to go to college. It, too made me a little sad. Especially the pictures with Diego. He will certainly be a lonely little boy for a while.
No words needed in this post. The pictures tell it all. Best wishes to Mimi in her new school. I hope she does well with her classes and also meeting new friends. Hugs to you, Jason.
I wish her the best of luck!!!!! She is going to have an amazing adventure (and there is a little part of me wishing I was heading off to college this week). It was great to see you yesterday!
What an exciting day! Yet bittersweet, too. How did you hold it all together? I'm going to be a huge mess when Princess Nagger gets to her college days. :)
fantabulous journey-an idea I'm gonna steal on Friday when my daughter goes back to school. It just occurred to me that she'll be in her own tiny car while I lug all her stuff in my car. ha.
I know you'll miss her-and I know you are excited for her! :-)

I know she looks so happy, but for some reason, this photo spread just made me sad. Especially that second picture of Diego.
Oh, this is bittersweet. Aren't you going to miss the heck out of her??
Did you set up your apt. adjacent to the college yet?
Such an adventure!
I just put my son on a plane for North Carolina on Saturday morning. My daughter leaves for Boston at the end of this week. I have been sobbing ...!
I hope she has a wonderful time... and that you have lots to do to fill the gap...
Remember those days?! Such an exciting time for Mimi. Must be difficult for you Jason. Hang in there.
Congratulations mimi on an exciting new adventure!
Dads, you must be feeling so emotional. Love to you both, and even more love to Diego.
But did you cry as you left her there? I did with each son.
Awww - the ones with Diego were heartbreaking!!
However - yay for her! Now she gets to live in a shoebox! :)

Oh, bless your hearts - all of you. We are going to do our version of this trip this week. xoxo
Crying like a baby. Big, sobbing gulps.
A heart-felt story in beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing...

Oh, Jason! Are you okay? Is Diego? Thanks for putting kindergarten in perspective. I love Busy Bee's apartment idea!
I'm so excited for Mimi!
Congratulations. All her parents must be so sad and joyful and proud.
Was that a roll of drawer liner in her box? She'll rock college life.
Diego's face says it all.

Yes. Bittersweet when they leave home to be the fabulous adults you raised them to be. Now she'll really bloom vibrantly.
I wish her the best of luck!!!!! She is going to have an amazing adventure (and there is a little part of me wishing I was heading off to college this week). It was great to see you yesterday!
are ya so proud that you are ready to explode?

Sniff. Blow. Dab, dab, dab. Sniff.
Ahhh. Bitter sweet to be sure. Good times for her though.
Your daughter's in my neighborhood. Let me know if you want me to check on her.
SFSU? She'll love it here!

Wow, what a great photo essay.
Awwww! Amelia's all grown up! She'll have a wonderful time at college. It didn't need any words at all.
I loved college move in!!
Ah, I spy a dorm room! Love the travelog. My first trip to San Fran!
