Did you know that I live on Wisteria Lane? Here is photographic evidence:
Sometimes things happen in such a way that you have to ask yourself, "Is this really a coincidence? Or, is there some other mysterious power here at work?"
The residents of Wisteria Lane have been wondering this for quite some time about the house at 2304 Wisteria Lane. Those who have been around Wisteria Lane since its beginning call this particular house the "bad luck house."
Listen closely, and you'll hear why:
1-The original owners, a wealthy businessman and his fashion model wife moved in and the wife immediately spent a hundred thousand dollars on upgrades. Her husband's business soon went under, she began having thyroid problems which ended her fashion career, and they divorced. They sold the house and even in the hot market of that time, they did not recuperate their upgrade investment.
2-The second owners lived there for less than a year. They were very quiet, and kept to themselves. Then the husband had a heart attack and died in the entry way. The wife immediately moved out and the house sold in less than a week.
3-The third owners were a home-schooled, blended family, Brady Bunch style, but without the charm and orange counter tops. The oldest often pulled the two year old on a skateboard down the street behind his motorcycle. The other children ran amok in the neighborhood, including fishing in the ornamental lake which only held koi and giant goldfish, which is strictly forbidden by the neighborhood's Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. Then one of the parents had an affair, they divorced, and sold the house.
4-The fourth owners remodeled. They put in expensive wooden doors, marble floors downstairs, and wood floors downstairs, easily spending another hundred thousand. They immediately became chummy with several of the neighbors. The man of the house promptly had an affair with the neighbor across the street, which was discovered by another neighbor at a dinner party. This ended in a violent altercation in the middle of the street. The woman who was cheated on went on a trip, and while she was gone her husband moved out, taking every last stick of furniture except for the crib. But before he did that, he painted all of the walls in a dark, gaudy faux finish that appears to be smoke damage at first glance. Then a violent custody battle ensued and the police were called to the residence several times.
5-These owners put the house up for sale, but while it was on the market, the owner's cousin rented it. And promptly turned it into a meth lab. Needless to say, this dampened the appeal of the house. So it stayed on the market for a year while that situation was resolved.
6-The newest owners are in the process of doing their own expensive remodel, and will not move in for a month or so. Do they know anything about their home's dark past? Should someone warn them? Or would this be planted a seed of doubt and negativity in their minds, only to bring about a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Yes, the bad luck house has taken its toll. And the question remains, is this all merely a coincidence? Or is there a sinister force behind all of this misfortune?

Westeria Lane sounds killer cool. I bet the new owners bring in a bunch of mysterious freezers for the basement.
Have I told you I love The Bird and the Bee.
I wouldn't want to know any of the house's history if it were me getting ready to move in there. If someone tells them they will feel all eyes are on them watching and waiting for the stuff to hit the fan again.
We have a house just like that in my neighborhood. I'm pretty sure the current owners are drug dealers. The police have been there several times for various altercations. What better place to deal drugs than in a gated community, away from prying eyes?
I say keep quiet - and maybe the curse will be lifted? Of course, if all the bad luck is focused on THAT house it won't have time to seek YOUR house out! Right?
Hope you're having a great week!
Cindy
We had a CPS house on our street--seriously, we had to call CPS for the kids on every family that lived there.
Since there apparently wasn't an actual murder there, I think it's coincidence. I hope the new family brings better luck. Or better marriages and finances, which would have solved quite a few of the problems...
By the way, there's something weird going on next door to me.
Well, maybe after the newest neighbors move in and move out, somehow that cursed house should happen to burn to the ground at night. Just a thought. Maybe the neighborhood association can work on that one.
nothing this exciting EVER happens in my neighborhood!
This is better than watching the Wisteria Lane!
All I know is, I can't wait to hear how it pans out!!
Because apparently I am a sick person who likes this kind of stuff.
Ugh.
I feel all dirty.
We have a house on our street that is the party house. The current neighbors had a July 4th party that started on the 2nd and ended on the 5th. I had a hangover just from watching.
oh GOD. all this and a meth lab too?
For how long? 50 years? Because wtf? did this all take place in the last 5 years or so you've lived there???
So glad we recently left a VERY similar neighborhhod LOL
Cant wait to hear how it goes...
My neighborhood is SO boring!
I think it is all bad luck.
My life is so boring.
Zeesh. Why tune into Desperate Housewives? Seriously, do you think the TV show got it's inspiration from your street?
And, "Brady Bunch style, but without the charm and orange counter tops"
You crack me up.
Sounds like it could make for an interesting TV show…
Stumbled here via Cheeseboy.
It's probably best the new owners don't know about the history of the house because it might make them paranoid and attract even more negativity to themselves. It's a shame though 'cos the house looks lovely.
OK. I want to live in your neighborhood. Because that? WAS AWESOME!!
I thought that if you were actually making meth in a house it had to be condemned. I hope the new guys are at least safe inside, but then again death by meth toxins may be better than what other damage that house may have in store for them.
I hope really great things happen for this new family. The house is SO gorgeous. Wow. Sometimes I forget that you are a famous orange county boy but then I see pictures like that and I remember! : )
WOW... obviously there's a well hidden voodoo doll somewhere.
I say offer to find the new owners someone to bless the house for them. Maybe call the PRS team...I'd show up just to see Ryan.
I would definitely want to know if the house had been a meth lab - that's toxic, isn't it? As for the other sad events, I think they could be coincidental. I do know that a house can have very bad energy (& have experienced it in a friend's rental), and that houses can have "paranormal" activity (other friends' experiences have confirmed this). Not sure if it's in the building, the occupants, or something that happened to the former occupants. If I had to buy the house, I'd ask a priest, tribal elder or pastor to come and ask a blessing on the house, and maybe perform some cleansing ritual - on second thought, I'd buy a different house.
Someone needs to give them holy water and garlic necklaces for a housewarming gift. Geez.
Keep quiet! They have made their bed, we shall see what happens..
We too have a cursed house on this block. Original owners (built in 1940's) both eventually died of cancer in said house. Next owners the wife died of cancer. Sold and then the husband died of cancer.. All of them died in the house of cancer. (Interestingly enough front room of house used to be a doctors office when first owners lived there.
Wife still living there with new hubby. They plan to retire and move shortly.
Funny thing is though that when we were house hunting that house was my #1 pick but lost out on it, live almost across the road now. A good thing perhaps.
