Ten Things Viewers Like You May or May Not Know About the Last Ten Seasons of The Jason Show
--We only moved twice in the last ten years. During the previous decade we/I moved thirteen times. THIRTEEN! Someone has become a bit more stable, perhaps?
---I had laser hair removal on my back.
--We took the vacation of a lifetime in 2002. Giancarlo and I hauled my little brother (18), our two daughters (14 and 10) and nine large suitcases across the continent of Europe on trains, planes, automobiles, and a ship. We were gone for a month. It was fantastic, but I have never been happier to be home. After about the fiftieth museum we had all lost our senses of humor and had the biggest family fight EVER running through the streets of Venice.
--I spent the better part of a month dealing with a loved one who was admitted to two different psychiatric wards after bizarre and terrifying behavior, including suicide threats and self mutilation. Nightmare.
--We bought a brand new house and watched the building process from the dirt up. It was my dream home. We poured countless amounts of time, money, and energy into it, and brought it to near perfection. Then after five years, we sold it for a 250% profit.
--After selling our house and my in-laws sold their house, we bought a bigger house on Wisteria Lane together since they only spent about half of the year here and the other half their house sat empty.
--Giancarlo and I adopted a brand new baby boy and he has kept us running since that very first day!
--Our two old doggies died and we adopted two new ones.
--Both of our daughters got their driver's licenses.
--We became grandfathers!

Holy cow, Jason. Everyone knows to stop after 49 museums! =)
Is Daniel son or grandson? (I'm new to The Jason Show so forgive me if I should know this....) :)
I realize this was only left off the list because you were limited to 10 things....Number 11 would be that ChiTown Girl came into your life, right? ;-) tee hee!!
(Why do I keep getting such weird word verif. words? Today's is "malish." I think someone is trying to tell me my above comment was malicious...nah! It's simply the truth! LOL!)
Holy cow...that's a lot in 10 years. What I would give to see you running through the streets of Venice screaming and yelling...I just have a warped sense of humor like that!
Your trip to Venice sounds like our trip to the Vatican. Ever seen a pair of newlyweds talk smack in the middle of St. Peter's Basilica? It happens.
I don't think I've moved 13 times total in my life - much less in a decade. Sheesh!
That European vacation sounds amazing!
Happy New Year!
Jason, you have definitely evolved.
You know, when I was in Venice a total stranger tried to picked a fight with me.
FYI, is Daniel your grandson, but legally your nephew? I hate details!!
Wow, it sure has been a busy decade for you, and filled with so many notable things. Most important, in my opinion, the lack of back hair these days.
Justine :o )
Good for you to buy and then sell a house and make that much profit before the housing crash in CA. From what I have seen on your blog, your place is very nice, and full of love.
I plan to spend the next ten years with you. I will not spit beverages.
What's a family vacation without a knock-down, drag-out fight?!
You have an amazing sense of humor for someone who has 2 daughters that drive..
Can you elaborate on the hair removal?
Ian will be in CA sometime in the next week or so.. Do you know if there is a Fosil store? Do they even exist? I am in dire need of a new purse....
I am proud that I knew most of this...but the family vacation? WOW. I am glad that you are all speaking. again. :)
Looking forward to the next 10 years with you.
Suz
Oh my God I am so happy for you. That back hair must have been bothering you for years. Congratulations for finally getting it removed and moving on with your life. It is major milestones like that in which we can truly learn from and find out who we really are inside. I can already tell how much better your life is post-back hair, it truly is amazing what a little lazer hair removal can do.
I hope someday I may be as strong as you and remove mine as well. Please pray for me.
(I am so lame)
Both daughters got drivers licenses and you are a grandfather too !! ..you are in trouble Jason !!! LOL Enjoy the laughs and love it seems your year will bring many ! HAPPY NEW YEAR !! Sending good luck honks for all of you from Herald Square !!
-Edward
You forgot working with me. I was TOTALLY in those 10 years. ;)
Did the laser hair thing hurt?
Maybe don't elaborate on the hair removal... I'm squeamish. I do appreciate a hairless back, however.
I'm glad to hear other people share a house with their extended family! We just started and I think it will be great!
That's a whole lot of stuff...I'm scared to think what mine would be...so I won't! Happy 2010 :0)
I'm proud to say I'm ten for ten on those little-known facts about Jason.
I have such a crush on your life.
(except, maybe, the back hair thing.)
Thanks for sharing your life with us Jason. Your extraordinary outlook on life is contagious ~ you are the best :0)
A decade... WOW! I loved this list. I am sorry about your house. I grimaced as I read the loss... EEEKS!
Proof positive that despite adversity, we still learn and grow and prosper.
Happy new year, Jason.
So... is it safe to say that laser hair removal is more effective than, say, duct tape?
all of life's blessings and greatest things, to you and yours.
i can't write about this on my blog but my 17 year old son just told us nonchalantly that he is gay. "oh by the way mom, i like boys". out of the blue, he did. "i'm gay".
i told him i am so glad he is in our family because the thought of him being outcast or hurt in some other family he was born into, breaks my heart. we had a long talk about how kids his age go through so much to discover that about themselves and i highlighted that he was able to do so without judgement. i am so proud he is MY son. i am telling you jason because of all peeps i think you will understand the most what this means...
my oldest beautiful son is also gay, so like erm... is it in the water or something? lmao.. that's 3 of us in five!
what are the odds anyways....
thanks for listening....
all i could think about was matthew shepard when he told me, and how very lucky my sweetie is here with me. even if i werent gay, i would still feel the same.

Yep, Bossy could probably score real high in Jason Show Jeopardy. Happy new year to you and yours. xo
Congratulations for finally getting it removed and moving on with your life.
wagyu steak
Clever post as always Jason! Happy New Year :)
wow. I ....umm....well, I cut my hair short that one time and then promptly grew it back out. That's pretty much all I did.
I really should have planned better.
That vacation sounds fantabulous! Feel free to do some flashback episodes so that we can live them vicariously through you.
uh, where better to have a fight than Venice! It is my favorite place EVAR!!!
As long as you made up too :)
Norwegian Dream? You're suck a dork.
I love the 10 in 10. Even fighting in Venice sounds dreamy...
Oh what a decade! I laughed when I read about the huge family fight in Venice...yep, a perfectly normal family! lol
