Relief

After 3 emotionally grueling days for us and physically agonizing, painful days for Amelia, the worst is over. She had surgery yesterday to remove a cyst that had become infected with drug resistant bacteria, and is resting comfortably.

I will post more soon. Thanks to all of you for your many kind and concerned emails and comments.

Chiming in late but I'm so glad she's better and in recovery. It's so scary when they can't figure out the problem and nothing is worse than seeing your baby so sick. Glad she is on the mend!

jason, if she had a ruptured cyst 4 weeks ago and only just had the surgery, her infection was caused by the misdiagnosis because the cyst ruptured, and she developed peritonitis... staff began to invade the tissue then she had MRSA which is contagious, and i am very glad to hear she is well now but WTF this all got to this point cuz no one did what they should have done in the first place.
bastards. i guess all that matters is she is well now but i would have someones head for the runaround they gave you and her. my god, that should of not happened that way. i would tell them to take their bill and shove it where the sun dont shine.
i am sorry i am angry for her, and you, and for the ordeal you went through. i hate when this kind of thing happens.

take care...

Oh my god. So they finally were able to diagnose it. Thank goodness!!!

Now here's hoping she will respond to the treatment and have a speedy recovery.

God bless your wonderful, close and loving family.

Oh thank goodness!!!!! Not to fuel the frustration that you had, and only to learn from your ordeal, was it something the doctors should have seen?

Just glad she is better!
