The interviews of the past few days have been a blast! I've really enjoyed receiving your interview questions, matching them to other bloggers, and then reading all of your answers. Thank you! All of the interviews were interesting and thoughtfully done. But the one that stands out most in my mind is one that you simply must take a minute to read. It is written by a beach town Southern Californian named Tami. Her blog's title is a misnomer--"I Can't Believe Anyone Would Want to Read This." One of her questions asked her about her ultimate fantasy. Her response had me laughing, it had me crying, every little detail. Really. Check it out.
Dreamy. Gooshy. Mellow. Romantic. These are all words that describe my newest musical infatuation, an album called Hide and Seek by Matt Alber. During the past few years it seems that I am less and less influenced by gooshy love songs and dreamy melodies. But I saw a music video by Matt Alber on tv and it put me in a trance. And now I drive around town listening to it getting all sentimental and warm inside, thinking about Giancarlo. In't thayt swayt? I highly recommend it, if you're in the mood for some outstanding music to put you in a fuzzy mood.
I'm feeling oh-so sorry for all of you out there that are suffering in the sub-zero, wayyyy below zero weather. I hear on the news that it is supposed to get worse! I will try to not complain when it gets down to 40 here. I will make sure I enjoy every moment of warmth and sunshine that comes my way!
And now, a poll about fry sauce. Who out there in bloggyland eats fry sauce? And if so, what are the ingredients in your fry sauce? Do you make it at home, or do you order it at a restaurant to go with your, well, fries? My sister-in-law, Laura (anyone remember her? She used to have a great blog until she just up and quit posting), texted me today asking all about fry sauce. I used to work at a Taco-Bellish restaurant in Utah called Taco Amigo. Fry sauce was a big thing there, and Laura wanted to know the secret recipe. I'm sure she assumed it was quite technical. But actually, would you like to know what the secret recipe is? (This is the point where J-Lo and Pumpkin Delight should just skip down to the next paragraph).
5 gallons mayonnaise
16 cups catsup
THAT'S IT! Does that disgust you, or does it sound good? Is fry sauce just a Utah thing? Because it certainly isn't a California thing.
My skin is so ITCHY! I can't get enough lotion, especially on my back! Scratch, scratch, scratch, all day long! I even itch where the sun don't shine. And that is not good if you want to remain a discreet, respected member of society. I just came to my senses and remembered what I do every winter about this time: plug in the humidifier and run it 24-7. It makes such a difference on my skin. And yet? My forehead is still as greasy as a truck stop griddle. If only I could twist my head around to the my back and rub it all over it. That would feel so good. And if I could accomplish THAT feat of contortion, just imagine other things I could do that would feel good!
