Jason's Virtual 40th Birthday Bash: You're Invited!

If you haven't heard about it by now, you've been living under a rock. Yep, oh Lordy, Jason's forty! I usually don't make a big ta-doo about my birthday, but since this one is a milestone, I figure I'll whoop it up and let it all hang out: I'm throwing myself a big old birthday party. And? Money is no object. Sky's the limit. I can do anything I want.
.
This event will take place Saturday, January 31st, 2009. The location will be announced this week, but you will need to provide your own transportation via your laptop, desktop, Blackberry, iphone, or other such device with internet capabilities.
.
Over the next few days I'm going to be planning this bash of unsurmounted proportions, but I'm going to need your help, mainly in the form of making suggestions and voting on possibilities.

Items on the planning agenda:
-Venue
-Entertainment
-Food
-Drinks
-Gifts
-Party favors
-Hangover remedies
.
So keep your eyes crossed and your fingers peeled as we plan this thing, us, together, with a little thing they invented a while back called "the internet".
.
Please RSVP in the comment section if you'll be able to check The Jason Show every day this week to assist in the planning process, and more importantly, if you will attend this gayla event!
.

Wow, sis! That's so sweet! I've been wanting one of these! I go ga-ga over them every time I walk past them at Wal-Mart.

Be careful what you ask for, Jason. I'm in town on your birthday. It happens to be my granddaughter's birthday too, and we will be partying at the American Girl Store at The Grove.

Oh my gosh! I am so stinking excited about this I can't stand it! I will check in EVERY day this week to see what's happening. I will do whatever you need for the party : ). XO

PS Whenever I hear that "Lordy, Lordy, Look Who's Forty!" I totally smile. That is an adorable line if ever there was one...

By the way: Bossy loves your "In honor of the California Supreme Court" photo display -- but she longs for it to be links that take you to the full size photos, because they're so cool and important.

I wouldn't miss this for the world!! I'd be happy to put my 2 cents in. (I already check your blog 10 times a day, anyway!)

Oh, and by the way, I'm sending you David Beckham for your birthday! I'm sure Giancarlo won't mind, as I hear he believes in doing charity for the elderly. ;-)

Of course I want to be counted in! I can hardly wait for the fun to begin! Will their be games? Drinking? (Like I need another excuse to drink) Gee, I'm sure glad that you are turning 40 so that we have a reason to celebrate!

Grandma J beat me to it, but I thought if you wanted to truly have a "gayla" (sorry) you could bring your favorite doll and join us for lunch at the American Girl Store in LA. Beauty turns 6, so we'll be celebrating on the 31st....you could get your hair done, all those things that make birthdays special. :)

Oh, I am counting down the seconds both in blog land and in real life when we can get our party on! Are we going to broadcast live from the actual real party? Because with me, you, and Pumpkin (drunk)in the same room together. Oh, Lordy! It could be REAL entertaining.
You sister is so generous in her gift giving, isn't she? Well, not to be outdone, I hired our favorite waiter/restaurant owner (you know, the one who has a crush on me?)to live with you, pull out your chair for you, make you panini's or Thai chicken salads whenever your little heart desires. Then, he will disappear into the woodwork until you are hungry again. How's THAT for a present??

Predo said...

I simply can not wait! Will there be dancing? Drinking? Skinny dipping?

Pumpkin Delight said...

Wait, are you going to be blogging all night at your "live" party?

Pumpkin Delight said...

But of course I would love to help you plan this party too! I love to plan parties!

Jason, my long lost LOVE,

I am BAAAAAAAAAACK in business. The laptop boyfriend? He is out of rehab, and now I Am Ready to par-tay with you.

Happy 40th Birthday! I love younger men!

Also? Check out my header! Tom has been added (story behind the photo to come in a future post), but the important thing is BARE BICEPS. I just knew you'd like it, Jason! Oh, if Tom ever cruises around the 'sphere and finds out about the comments I leave here, he'd blush, at the very least.

Is there still room for a little old English Rose?

Just don't sit me next to Justine - she's always tooting her flute in public places!

I’m in.
How bout a Death by Chocolate cake and a shot of German Chocolate Cake? (That a drink, lots of booze, tastes just like chocolate cake but it has no chocolate in it, yummy.)
Of course I’ll read every day. I always do.
You’ll love you forties. Young enough to do any thing you want and old enough not to care if any one else thinks your crazy for doing it. I learned to drive a motor cycle. I just love it.

Dear Jason, I will be delighted to attend your birthday party! I will also be stopping by to help with the planning. Will Bossy be coming? After all, if it wasn't for her, I never would have found you-- and I'm so glad that I did!!
Are you registered for gifts? Or would you prefer donations to my favorite charity--a local cat shelter??

Love from The Minx
